our story

Good care starts with knowing your dog.
Furever Friends was founded by Will Ferman, a dog care professional with more than 15 years of experience. His work has taken him from neighborhood walks in Hoboken to dog daycares, grooming salons, and work alongside trainers. Each experience shaped the same belief: dogs deserve patient, consistent care from people who understand them.
Will built Fetch Hoboken around that approach, earning trust through familiar faces, dependable routines, and personal attention. His advocacy work with The Sato Project and Muddy Paws deepened his commitment to helping dogs feel safe and supported. Furever Friends brings that experience and care to the Upper West Side.

An eye for dogs. A feel for the neighborhood.
Will’s creative background is part of the story, too. As a dog photographer and former assistant to The Dogist, he learned to notice the small things: a shift in posture, a moment of hesitation, the spark that makes each dog themselves. That attention carries into the way Furever Friends cares for dogs.
The Upper West Side felt like a natural home: tree-lined blocks, Riverside Park, Central Park, and neighbors who know one another by their dogs’ names. It shares the walkable, community-minded spirit that made Hoboken special.
Our approach is simple. Keep groups small. Build familiar routines. Communicate clearly. Take the time to understand each dog’s pace, personality, and needs. With familiar walkers and thoughtful support, trust grows one walk at a time.
Because great care should feel personal.
Furever Friends. Your dog’s best friend.

our core values
care + respect

Care and kindness shape how we move. Respect is how we show up; for dogs, clients, and each other.
Our work is personal. We enter homes. We care for living, breathing beings. That calls for patience and awareness. With dogs, it means advocating for their happiness and well being; honoring who they are. With people, it means being kind, considerate and fair.
consistency + reliability

We believe dogs thrive on routine and people thrive on trust. Our job is to remove uncertainty and replace it with stability, harmony and understanding.
We do that by showing up when we say we will, keeping familiar walkers with familiar dogs, and treating every walk as something that matters. Beyond the leash, it’s how we live as well. We aim to follow through, take responsibility, and leave people and places better than we found them.
community

New York City is big. Sprawling. Fast. Anonymous if you let it be. But here on the Upper West Side, we see something different. Tree-lined blocks. Riverside at golden hour. Families, doormen, neighbors who recognize the same dogs passing by each day.
Manhattan is larger than life, but our mission is simple: to build something smaller inside something massive. A dependable circle of care. Familiar faces. Real relationships. Not just dog walkers moving through the city, but a community rooted in trust, friendship, and consistency.
