Upper West Side dog walking & care

Your dog gets familiar faces, walking buddies, and a routine they can count on. Our Upper West Side walks bring together familiar walkers and small groups of 2–4 compatible dogs, with a minimum of four walks per week. You’ll get GPS tracking, photos, and visit notes in the app, so you can see what your dog’s been up to. Payments happen there too, with invoices every two weeks. We also offer overnight care for regular walking clients, plus puppy care and training when it’s a good fit.

Our small groups suit dogs who are comfortable walking alongside other dogs and meeting people. Tell us how your dog feels on walks, what they enjoy, and anything they find tricky. We’ll talk through whether our group setting is a good fit.

Your main walker is joined by a second regular walker and a familiar backup. That gives us coverage when one person is unavailable without relying on a stranger to step in.

You choose a two-hour arrival window, rather than an exact appointment time. That gives us room to coordinate neighborhood routes. A recurring schedule saves you from entering the same requests each week. If something comes up during the week, send us a request in the app and we’ll do our best to help. Availability isn’t guaranteed for walks booked with less than 12 hours’ notice. Please request weekend walks at least a week ahead through the app. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but weekend availability isn’t guaranteed.

We walk small groups of 2–4 compatible dogs and do not visit dog parks. Our routes stay in familiar Upper West Side neighborhoods, with time for sniffing, bathroom breaks and attentive care.

We take access and home security very seriously. For most clients, we prefer to keep two copies of your key on file to ensure smooth scheduling and coverage when needed. That said, we’re flexible and happy to work with what feels most comfortable for you. We can also accommodate lockboxes, concierge or front desk key pickup, or other secure access arrangements. Walkers are trained on proper building access, lock up procedures, and leaving homes exactly as they were found. Keys, fobs, and access instructions are shared only with team members who need them for scheduled walks, and all accounts are actively overseen to ensure consistency and accountability. Our goal is for you to feel completely comfortable trusting Furever Friends with both your home and your dog.

Yes, walks still happen in most weather conditions. Rain, cold, and light snow are part of everyday life, and many dogs still enjoy getting outside. Walk lengths and routes may be adjusted based on conditions to keep dogs comfortable and safe. In cases of extreme weather, such as severe storms, dangerous heat, icy conditions, or anything that could pose a safety risk, walks may be shortened, modified, or delayed. When this happens, we always use common sense and prioritize your dog’s well being. Our approach is simple: safety first, comfort always.

We offer overnight care in your home, reserved for regular walking clients. Time together on walks lets us get to know your dog before caring for them while you’re away. Overnight care is $120 per 24 hours and includes four walks. Tell us about your travel dates and your dog’s routine so we can discuss availability.
